Fine Art Prints
Frequently Asked Questions
1/ What is a Fine Art Print?
A Fine Art Print is not simply a reproduction of a painting or drawing -- it is a work of art in its own right. Some techniques used to create Fine Art Prints include lithography, silk screen (serigraphy), woodcut, etching, and digital technologies such as giclee and Iris.
2/ Why buy a print instead of a one of a kind work of art?
Fine Art Prints are signed by the artist to guarantee quality and authenticity. Prints in a limited edition are produced only in that quantity. Fine Art Prints can be an excellent way to start your collection, to obtain an image that is otherwise not available, or to get started with a particular artist at a lower cost.
3/ I want a print of this particular piece, can you make me one?
Carol Rowan selects only a few images a year to be made into Fine Art Print editions. In those cases, the original drawing or painting remains property of the artist.
